RICARDO VALVERDE

Guitarrista y Compositor

En 2003 se establece en Holanda para comenzar sus estudios especializados de jazz en Conservatorio Real de la Haya y en el Conservatorio de Rotterdam, donde recibió su titulo de Bachelor de Jazz (Bmus) en el 2008 y el titulo de Master de guitarra (Mmus) en el 2010. Alli estudió guitarra  con Martijn van Iterson y Peter Nieuwerf entre otros, y su mentor principal en composición, interpretacion y trio ensemble, Kris Goessens durante cuatro años .

Durante sus estudios de Bachelor y Master , en los realizó opcionales en la especialidad de composición con profesores de tecnicas diferentes Barroco, Contemporaneo, Film music/Score, Jazz y Clásico , aparte de la especialidad de Jazz donde se estudia composición  tradicional y contemporánea.

Ha tenido Masterclases con Kurt Rosenwinkel, Gilad Hekselman, Gwilym Simcock, John Abercrombie, Barry Harris , Jesse van Ruller, Hein van de Geyn y David Liebman.

Ha actuado con numerosos musicos excelentes internacionales, y colaborado en muchisimos proyectos musicales en Italia, España, Bélgica y en Holanda, en famosos clubs de jazz, teatros y festivales de jazz como “Delft jazz festival”, “Haarlem jazz festival” y “Roundtown North sea jazz festival”, entre otros.

Actualmente reside en Valencia donde participa en varios proyectos musicales de jazz , composición o ensemble . Lidera su proyecto de composiciones , Luz Quartet que dio su fruto en el disco “LUZ” (2017) basado en  composiciones contemporáneas de jazz, escritas desde su vuelta de Holanda inspirado en la Luz de Valencia ,y actualmente  prepara su próximo segundo disco con Luz Quartet.
A la vez lidera  y desarrolla  arreglos a Trio Rv3 un proyecto homenajeando a los maestros compositores “impresionistas” que mas le influencian como Albeniz, Satie, Granados, Debussy, Falla o Fauré.

Ricardo began his passion for the guitar at the age of twelve. From 1999 to 2003 he deepened his musical jazz studies in Valencia where he studied harmony and instrument with International and local musicians. He participated at Jazz workshops in Valencia and Taller de musics in Barcelona while he performed with several jazz projects.

In 2003 he settled in Holland to continue his specialized jazz studies at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague and at the Rotterdam Conservatory, where he received his Bachelor of Jazz (Bmus) in 2008 and the title of Master of Guitar (Mmus) in 2010. Alli studied guitar with Martijn van Iterson and Peter Nieuwerf among others, and his main mentor in composition, interpretation and trio with Kris Goessens for four years. He has had Masterclasses with Kurt Rosenwinkel, Gilad Hekselman, Gwilym Simcock, John Abercrombie, Barry Harris, Jesse van Ruller, Hein van de Geyn and David Liebman.

He has performed with many excellent international musicians, and has collaborated on many musical projects in Italy, Spain, Belgium and the Netherlands, in famous jazz clubs, theaters and jazz festivals such as "Delft jazz festival", "Haarlem jazz festival" and "Roundtown North is jazz festival "among others.
He currently lives in Valencia where he participates in several jazz, composition or ensemble musical projects. He leads his project of compositions to quartet that gave his fruit on the album "LUZ" (2017) based on contemporary jazz compositions, written since his return from Holland inspired by the Luz de Valencia, and is currently preparing his next second album with this Quartet .
At the same time he leads and develops in arrangements to Trio Rv3 a project paying tribute to the "impressionist" master composers who influence him the most, such as Albeniz, Satie, Granados, Debussy or Fauré
